SIGHTS & ARROW RESTS

A good bow sight can make a dramatic difference in shooting accuracy for archers of any skill level. Today’s archery bow sights include innovative features that help you find your target under a wide range of shooting conditions.  Many of today’s bow sights incorporate fiber optic strands, which provide a small but highly visible point to use in targeting.  Whether you need a bow sight for archery hunting or practice you’ll find it at Buck’s Gun Rack.

If you shoot a compound bow, you know that your arrow rest is an integral component.Like compound bows, however, arrow rests have come a long way. There are a lot of models to choose from and many of them are very good and purpose built.  A hunter needs a rest that will hold a hunting arrow on it at the shot angles he or she would use in the field, from level to almost straight down, as can be the case when shooting from a treestand or bowfishing. The rest needs to be designed so that the arrow doesn’t fall off or alter position when the bow is drawn or moved.  So long as you understand what the rest is supposed to do and what characteristics are preferable for your needs (hunting, bowfishing or target shooting), you are headed in the right direction.

ARROWS & MORE

Archery arrows and crossbow bolts come in a variety of weights, lengths and materials. Aluminum arrows are highly popular for their strength, flexibility and durability. Carbon arrows are lightweight for excellent speed.  Arrow length is an important consideration for both accuracy and safety. Using arrows that are too short can decrease your ability to hit your target and potentially create a hazard for yourself or others.  We can custom cut your arrows to make that perfect shot.

Beginning archers should use an arrow that extends at least an inch beyond the back of the bow riser, while experienced archers might select a slightly shorter arrow length for the same bow and draw length. Arrow length is critical for safety and accuracy. Arrows that are too short or too long can hinder your ability to hit your target.
